Birthdays!

Our baby, Michael Dee, was born September 22, 1974, at 7:12 p.m., at the Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah. I left him a message on facebook, last night, and talked to him about an hour ago. Monday night, Mike & Heather had us to dinner, along with Jim & kids. (minus Jen & Brenna, they are returning tonight from CA) Our grandkids are growing up so fast. Cohen, our youngest, was one year old, April 20th, 2009. I think I am getting a little baby hungry! They are so cute and we love them all.

We had another birthday celebrated today. Avery Jay was born September 22, 1997 around 1 p.m. Avery had surgery on his right knee, yesterday. So today, he celebrated his birthday lying on the couch. He cannot put any weight on it for six weeks & is on crutches. When I called him, today, he said that he "Hurt." He's young & should bounce back fast.

Hope to receive a letter from Shalayne, tomorrow. Mondays are her "P" day. Friday morning, we go to grandparents day at Bret's kids school. It is Alpine, UT. I think, we will travel on to Provo & drop off a package to be delivered to Shalayne. I miss her!!

Jay has an appointment with the doctor about his left shoulder, tomorrow. He should find out what comes next. He is doing much better from his surgeries, for which we are grateful.

Blog!!

Finally, Kaylee helped me so I can blog, again! Jim connected our new, wireless printer. I need a computer class really bad!

This photo is one that Jen took, when we were having our family pictures taken on Sept. 8th. Shalayne, our eldest grandchild, entered the MTC on Sept. 9th. We have received one letter from her. She said that they are teaching the Elders "manners," when the Sisters enter the room, they stand. When the Sisters go to the cafeteria to eat, they stand when the Sisters come in. She likes that!

One of our dearest neighbors whom we have lived by for the last 39 years, passed away. Her name is Theo Eves. Her daughter, Tammy, was our babysitter for years. Theo was diabetic & had osteoarithis (sp). She was 85 years old. She took me to the hospital when I was expecting Kenneth and stayed with me until Jay came.

Last evening, a neighbor, Max Maolo who served his mission to Trinidad & the Carribean, had a dinner & social. It was a fun time. Polynesians know how to celebrate! Tomorrow is Theo's funeral & Avery is having surgery on one leg. We are going to tend Keatyn. Mike has invited us to dinner, tomorrow night. Jim's wife, Jen, is in CA visiting her family, so Jim & kids are invited, also.

Jay is walking without a cane, so he is doing good. He still has a couple of health problems, but we are going to Georgia, anyway.
